Museum wax is a blend of Microcrystalline Waxes that protect your valuable collections from bumps and earthquakes.

It is primarily for use on sealed wooden shelving as it protects the wood as well as the securing items to it. Can be used with porcelain, crystal, glass, ceramic, marble and wood finishes. It also performs well as a temporary “glue” to hold items in place, while being cleaned, repaired or photographed.

NOTE: This wax is to be used on items not moved often.

Helmar Acid Free glue has been specifically formulated for memory albums, book binding, mounting photographs, preserving old or precious books, documents, scrap books, most craft projects, etc.

Excellent adhesion to dense papers, high flexibility, long term life of the bond. Sets clear, dries quickly and will not yellow with age.

This oil-based glue (or size) is heated in a closed container according to an exclusive formulation and is subjected to a multitude of filtering and decanting operations. The high quality product which results will ensure long lasting gilding work.

This mixture is suitable for large surfaces, outdoor work, in dry conditions and where there is not too much dust. To obtain the best results in terms of brilliance and depth, the 12-hour gilding mixture should be used rather than the 3 Hour mixture. It will also be resistant for longer with a stronger pictorial film.

This mixture is a quick and simple gilding method. It is suitable for indoor work, on wood or plaster. The gold leaf may be applied 30 minutes after the mixture.

Charbonnel gilder clays are in the form of a paste which is finely ground in the traditional manner between granite rollers. The manufacturing process ensures top quality and performance. Gilders clay needs to be mixed with twice its volume of a lukewarm solution of Skin Size. It may then be applied to the object which is to be gilded.

Jovi air hardening clay is a pleasure to use, has a pleasant and fresh feel and it doesn’t stain in the way that clay does. It can be shaped by hand or by covering frames made of different materials (wire, wood…).

Then you just leave it to dry naturally in the air for 24 hours, thereby eliminating the need to use high temperature ovens.
